Lins Drabwell
This week, we step into the world of interiors and lifestyle blogger, Lins Drabwell. This lovely lady enjoys running, reading, cooking and travel, and is absolutely devoted to her two fur babies, Boo and Maddie! From colouring books to scented candles, we’re in awe of her table top style and her cool and calm approach to relaxation after a busy day of house renovation!
My home style tends to be a bit ‘anything goes’. We’re at the start of a long term full house renovation, so picking trinkets and colour schemes are a long way from happening. It’s lovely to be able to relax at the end of the day, and the large glass-topped coffee table we currently have was made by my husband for his old house before we got together. It transports me away from the world of DIY, if only for a few hours.
Always at hand – travel inspiration. I’m a very independent-minded Aquarian and am always torn whether to spend money on the house or to leave it all behind for a few months. My Mum gave us the ‘You Only Live Once’ coffee table book which is great to flick through for a temporary distraction. We’re off on a self-catering holiday to Cornwall in September for a week with our dog Maddie and then heading to New York for an uber-luxe long weekend in December so those are our current reads.
I also love to relax and unwind with some colouring and scented candles. Last year I was quite ill for a long time and as part of my recuperation, colouring was suggested to focus my mind on one activity. Ever the cynic I thought it was impossible but within five minutes I was hooked and now if there is any spare time to unwind, lighting a candle to disperse the aroma of animals and breaking out the pens keeps me out of trouble, along with a cup of herbal tea as I don’t like coffee.
