Welcome to Arlo & Jacob. We make sofas for life, the old-fashioned way! We believe in doing things right, with a team of top-tier craftspeople based right there in the UK. Our Nottinghamshire workshop is at the centre of what we do. It’s where we design, prototype, and create sofas to stand the test of time. We keep just about everything
in-house to ensure we can control the quality of each element all the way down the line. From time to time, we work with acclaimed interior designers to collaborate on unique designs or team up with like-minded brands to bring distinctive new products to our customers. It all boils down to furniture with feeling, elevated by endless design options to make each piece perfectly personal to you.
We’re a family company, rooted in the joy of home. Owners, Mark and Julie are driven by their vision of a happy home for their own sons, Oska and Ned (and of course, Gus, their trusty dog). Arlo & Jacob was named after the original founders’ two sons. Mark and Julie loved the family-oriented philosophy that the name carried and all of the values that trickled down from it.
When they bought the company in 2020, they decided to keep it and honour the story of the founders and everything that their family put into laying the foundations for the brand we’ve become today.
Mark and Julie’s goal is to create furniture to last a lifetime that’s not only beautiful but practical. Our sofas’ hardwood frames are guaranteed for life, and we offer a wealth of family-friendly fabrics to choose from. We’re all about choice, giving you endless options so that you can create a sofa with the format, fabric, and design details that feel most true to you.
