Business Development Manager (London Based)

This is an exciting new role for us, aimed at accelerating our already fast growing B2B sales channel. Working alongside our small but dedicated Retail and HO teams, the Business Development Manager (BDM) will contribute to a thriving commercial operation and will be pivotal in delivering an exceptional Architect & Designer (A&D) customer experience.

The role has been created to propel Arlo & Jacob to the forefront of the specifier community, and the successful candidate will therefore already possess excellent home/interiors sector contacts. A proactive self-starter with exceptional communication skills, the BDM will have the entrepreneurial mindset required to succeed. The appointee will also already have the breadth of experience and skills to drive our B2B growth.

Our brand is at the centre of all of our commercial activity, and the BDM will therefore be someone who naturally exudes our core brand values and who will excel as a true Arlo & Jacob brand ambassador within the A&D community. The successful candidate will relish the opportunity to nurture and grow relationships with existing and potential new accounts, possessing the tenacity to see projects through to their conclusion. With excellent attention to detail, the BDM will spot and maximise each and every commercial opportunity.

We are dynamically growing and are proud to be a British family-owned furniture brand with a rich history of craftsmanship. Producing bespoke furniture is our trademark and customer service is of paramount importance, both in our showrooms and behind the scenes.
This is an opportunity for ambitious individuals with premium brand experience to join our innovative company. The perfect candidates will share our passion for great design and home/interiors.
The Fulham showroom is a friendly, fast-paced environment and the successful candidate will be able to effectively multi-task. They will additionally need to have excellent administrative and communication skills and be computer literate. No two days are the same as our Fulham teams deals with telephone, email and live chat enquiries, in addition to retail sales and trade enquiries.
Maintaining up to date product knowledge is essential to ensure that all of our customers receive the highest level of customer service which reflects our brand values.

The role demands a talented sales consultant who can guide our growing customer base through their purchasing journey with us. They should be able to offer consultative selling skills, and be able to work effectively as part of a small but dedicated showroom team.
