Assistant Manager - Retail

CHISWICK & ISLINGTON

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead, mentor and develop your showroom team ensuring a positive and safe workplace.
  • In the absence of the Showroom Manager, you are responsible for managing and training showroom staff , and for managing the staff rota.
  • To be responsible for the maintaining of statutory requirements in the showroom such as fi re regulations and Health & Safety at work.
  • The Assistant Showroom Manager is also responsible for making sure various appliances (boilers, coff ee machine, alarm systems etc.) are working and serviced.
  • The Assistant Showroom Manager is the secondary keyholder and asset register, and manages key allocation, alarm & security.
  • Drive sales, to meet & exceed business sales targets.
  • Work collaboratively with teams across the business to help achieve the business sales targets.
  • Process orders using Magento, V12 & Stripe against the correct processes and procedures. Telephone how-to transferring and diverting calls. Pausing telephone recordings whilst processing a sale.
  • Ensure all product is ticketed and priced correctly in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Follow the visual merchandising guidelines in line with the stylist's design and always ensure best standards both on the fl oor and back of house and use the Arlo How To guides to be product specialists and to be able to deliver expert and honest advice to each Arlo & Jacob customer.
  • Manage quarterly stocktaking
  • Assist trade clients with their orders.
  • You may at times be requested to work at other showrooms.

Sales Consultants

GUILDFORD(Full-time)
BATH (Part-time)

What You'll Be Doing

  • Showroom Sales: Engage with customers, showcasing our beautiful sofas and helping them find the perfect piece for their home.
  • Product Expertise: Develop a deep knowledge of our product range and understand the technical aspects and customisation options available.
  • Customer Experience: Be at the forefront of the customer journey, using your creative flair to ensure each customer leaves satisfied.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively across teams to help achieve company sales targets and participate in events, promotions, and collaborations.
  • Team Support: Embrace ad-hoc tasks with enthusiasm and flexibility, especially during key promotional times when weekend availability may be required.

Essential Skills

  • Passion for Interiors: Ideal for candidates who are energised by new challenges and have a keen interest in interior design.
  • Customer Service Experience: Previous experience in retail or customer-facing roles; furniture or homewares experience is a plus.
  • Sales: 1 year experience in customer sales would be advantageous
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication and listening skills, with a friendly and positive demeanour.
  • Organisational Skills: Strong administration skills, with the ability to work proficiently with technological systems.
  • Weekend: Willingness to work weekends

With weekly visits to our Bilborough workshop

What You'll be Doing

  • Working with our in-house service team to schedule jobs realistically
  • Spotting patterns, flagging recurring issues, and sharing ideas for improvement
  • Pulling together key customer care data into a weekly report

What You'll Bring

  • Calm decision-making and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • A knack for admin, Microsoft Office, and general system know-how
  • Composure under pressure — you’re the steady hand when things get busy

Creative Artworker

MELBOURNE, DERBYSHIRE - FULL-TIME

What You'll be Doing

  • Rolling out promotional campaigns, brand assets, and marketing materials

  • Preparing accurate, print-ready and digital artwork (including animation) from master design

  • Ensuring consistency across layouts, typography, and file structures

  • Working closely with designers to translate concepts into polished final files

  • Following brand guidelines and production processes with care and confidence

  • Managing multiple artwork versions and amends with efficiency and clarity

  • Opportunity to contribute towards creative concepts

Essential Skills

  • 2–3 years experience in a design, production, or creative artwork role (agency or in-house)

  • Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)

  • Ability to interpret briefs and deliver smart, effective design solutions

  • Sharp eye for layout and technical detail

  • Confident creating print-ready files and optimised digital assets

  • Understanding of print production processes and specifications

  • A technical mindset with strong attention to detail
