Lazy Days: Summer Cocktail Extravaganza with Monin
It’s set to be a real scorcher this week with temperatures reaching the high thirties. While you’re making plans to relax in the garden, head to the local lido or simply sit in the shade with a good book, why not treat yourself to a delicious cocktail or two; these epic summer cocktails from Monin will be the ultimate thirst-quenchers over the coming few weeks. Make them individually, or in pitchers to share with friends at a roasting hot BBQ (don’t forget the SPF). Sip, relax and enjoy!
Mango Green Tea Pisco Sour
20 ml MONIN Green Tea Concentrate
15 ml Le Fruit de MONIN Mango
45 ml Pisco
15 ml lime juice
20 ml egg white
Combine all ingredients into a shaker with ice. Shake vigorously, then strain into the shaker tin.
Throw away the ice and shake one more time without ice.
Strain into a chilled cocktail coupe/glass and enjoy.
25 ml MONIN Strawberry syrup
25 ml lime juice
50 ml rum
12 mint leaves
Add all ingredients to a highball glass and half fill with crushed ice.
Mix thoroughly, then top with crushed ice and garnish with a sprig of mint.
20ml MONIN Passionfruit Syrup
25ml lime juice
12 mint leaves
Dash of soda
Add all ingredients except soda to a highball glass and half fill with crushed ice.
Churn all ingredients together and top with crushed ice and soda.
Serve in a 12oz highball and garnish with a mint sprig and half a passion fruit.
Sparkling Kiwi Lemonade (Mocktail)
30 ml MONIN Cloudy lemonade
15 ml Le Fruit de MONIN Kiwi
150 ml Sparkling water
Add all ingredients to a glass with cubed ice.
Garnish with an slice of lemon and a wheel of kiwi fruit.
Butterscotch White Russian
20ml MONIN Butterscotch syrup
1 shot espresso/exchange for cold brew if preferred
50ml cream/can be subbed for alternative milk products if desired
Build all in glass with ice – for an extra treat, crush your favourite butterscotch sweet (like Werther’s Original) and use to line the rim of the glass.
