Interior Trends: Fabric Edit Spring/Summer 2019
The Spring/Summer 19 fabric collection introduces a variety of textures in a soft, subtle and muted colour palette. This mix of tactile fabrics is pared-back, natural, with a weathered look; focusing on the ‘wabi-sabi’ trend for embracing the imperfectness of nature. The Spring/Summer 19 collection is all about understated luxury, bringing a high-end, cosy look to your interiors this season with the highest quality yarns and weaves.
Introducing the Fabrics in the Spring/Summer 2019 Edit
Here we introduce you to the eight different fabrics in the collection and show you how they work together to create a cohesive, relaxed and cosy look.
Belgian Linen
Flax
Our Belgian Linen comes from the Masters of Linen Mill and is the highest quality linen available. With a tumbled, textured look thanks to the natural flax, this Belgian Linen is not dyed, which means each batch has its own unique shade, depending on the time of the harvest. This heavyweight, quality linen provides a timeless look to your interiors.
Scandi Blend
Hay
This ribbed, heavyweight fabric is a mix of muted grey and beige tones that pairs superbly with block colour fabrics. Scandi Blend is a highly durable fabric that has a timeless look and brings a level of understated luxury to your interiors.
Iberian Weave
Straw
Our Iberian Weave is the boldest fabric in the S/S 19 collection. Designed on a muted colour palette, this is a standout print that works for all interiors without being overwhelming, even on our larger pieces. This stunning weave fabric is heavyweight, tactile and luxurious. It works wonderfully on traditional and modern pieces alike.
Cotswold Herringbone
Birch
Unlike standard herringbone fabrics, our highly textured Cotswold Herringbone has more pattern running through it for visual interest. It’s a little cosier than other fabrics and is predominantly made from linen, making it an excellent choice for durability, thanks to the linen and wool blend. Cotswold Herringbone is a highly textured fabric with a mix of natural fibres for a characterful finish.
Italian Fustian
Carbon
The definition of opulence and luxury, this Italian Fustian chenille style fabric is extremely heavyweight and thick with a tactile, textured surface. Almost entirely composed of natural yarns, it is a plain fabric with plenty of texture and a soft, subtle sheen to the surface in a gorgeous dark grey colourway.
Prato Robust
Gravel
The Prato Robust fabric has an interesting composition made from a mixture of fabrics, containing 10% silk. It is a sturdy, durable, semi-plain fabric. It’s an ideal choice for families with young children or pets, since it is forgiving on some stains and spills, but still has an air of luxury to it, unlike man-made textiles. A good base for any room, it’s a universal choice for your furniture.
Alpaca Velvet
Moss
Looking for a velvet fabric with a difference? This Alpaca Velvet is made with alpaca wool and has an incredibly thick and luxurious pile. With a matte surface in a stunning moss green colour, it is soft, durable and is warmer than sheep’s wool, without being prickly, plus it’s less inclined to crush.
Como Chunky
Sand
This premium Italian fabric is thick and highly textured. It is soft to touch, offering a more sophisticated feel than some of the other fabrics in the collection. It lends itself beautifully to both relaxed and structured furniture shapes.
