Sofa Moments: Sofa Workout & Super Grain Porridge

It’s so hard to motivate yourself in the winter months to fulfil those new years resolutions. Sometimes it’s hard enough just to pry yourself off the sofa. Well, what if you didn’t have to? What if you could exercise from the comfort of your cushions? With thanks to the NHS, we’re bringing you this sofa workout, the perfect way to stay in, relax and kick-start a healthier new you. If you’re staying in and watching a movie, how about loading up on healthy snacks and trying out this sofa workout? (Please remember, this is not intended to replace your regular exercise, but should be considered a supplement to a healthy lifestyle and routine.)

We’ve also teamed up with the guys at Tilda to bring you this delicious and wholesome recipe for a hearty and warming porridge; the perfect breakfast recipe to put a spring in your step.

Cranberry & Pumpkin Seed Porridge

Ingredients:

1 pack Tilda Super Grains Cranberries & Seeds

150ml Rice Milk (you can use any milk alternative of your choice)

1 stick cinnamon

1 tbsps honey

Pinch of salt

A handful of dried cranberries

A few toasted sliced almonds

Method:

  1. Add the rice milk, honey cinnamon and Supergrain Cranberries and seeds to a small saucepan
  2. Bring to the boil and simmer for 10 minutes
  3. At the end of 10 minutes stir through the dried cranberries
  4. Serve piping hot and sprinkle with the toasted almonds
