Interior Trends: Linen is the perfect fabric for Spring/Summer
Lightweight linen is the perfect fabric for the warmer seasons, and as we move into Spring, we thought we’d share with you some of our luxurious linen fabrics and the sofa styles they suit best. What’s more, we’ve introduced some new loose cover sofas and removable cover designs that are ideal for these linen fabrics.
Why we love linen?
Linen is a 100% natural material of the highest quality. Our True Linens come from The Masters of Linen Mill in Belgium. Due to the natural properties of this tumbled, relaxed fabric, there is a possibility of a slight colour variation between pieces, which all adds to the soft, laid-back look that is so desirable with linen furniture.

Loose cover sofas
We recently launched our Harriet family; a super slouchy, loose-fitting, removable cover sofa range. Its been dubbed as the most comfortable sofa we’ve ever made, thanks to its plump feather back cushions and extra scatter cushions. Harriet feels like a duvet as you sink back and the pillows surround you. The relaxed look of this sofa lends itself to the slouchy and crinkled texture of linen. This natural fabric breathes in the summer, keeping you cool as you stretch out and snooze.
Removable cover footstool
Our new Tabitha footstool has a removable cover, which is fixed with Velcro. We think it will look rather splendid in any of our linens (but equally great in all the other fabrics too!). Tabitha is the ideal piece to change with the seasons. Opt for lightweight linen in the Spring/Summer and a heavier fabric like velvet or wool for the winter season. Two looks from one piece – voila!
Of course, our lovely linens aren’t restricted to our removable or loose cover styles. Some of our darker shades of linen look stunning on our mid-century designs. The sleek silhouette is excellently suited to the deep hues, while the linen fabric softens the angular lines, which lends a whole new look to these sofas and chairs.
