Interior Trends: Cravings colour palette, top interior shades for 2019
The colour experts at Pantone not only pinpoint a single colour of the year, but they also share with us their predictions for the top interior colours that we’ll see trending over the upcoming year. Pantone introduced us to their Cravings colour palette which is meant to tempt the eye “as well as the taste buds with spicy reds, sweet flamingo orange, and rich purples.” A mixture of mustard tones, interspersed with ochre, spices and berries, we think these colours are perfect for our luxury velvet fabrics. This added level of decadence provided by plush velvet in these rich, golden-hued tones will add some serious glamour and elegance to your living room.
Cotton Velvet Carmine
Cotton Velvet Hazel
Cotton Velvet Burnt Umber
Cotton Velvet Monarch Orange
Cotton Velvet Ochre
Cotton Velvet Chalk Pink
Taking inspiration from the far east and the vibrant colours of pomegranate, spices, cinnamon, honey and toasted almonds, this is a delectable palette of colours that will have you dreaming of your favourite delicacies and vacation hot-spots.
Here, we’d like to introduce you to our new Cotton Velvets in on-trend hues Carmine, Hazel and Burnt Umber, which join our existing Monarch Orange, Ochre and Chalk Pink to form this cohesive and eclectic ensemble that echoes the Pantone Cravings colour palette. This curated selection of colours brings warmth and depth to your space, while still echoing colours found in nature. They are perhaps unlikely pairings, but being of a similar tonal palette, they work with one another to create a cohesive and grown-up interior look. If you find these colours too bold to use on their own, you can partner them with our Natural True Linen and Distressed Leather for a subtler version of the trend.
