Interior Trends: Autumn/Winter 2020/21 Fabrics
Discover the abundant warmth of our new Autumn/Winter 2020/21 fabric collection
Inspired by nostalgic, golden hues, now is the time to bring more joy and confidence into our homes. As life becomes more complex, the colours and textures we gravitate towards must offer us longevity and comfort. In response, our Autumn/Winter 2020/21 fabric collection is both transitional and joyful.
We need our furniture to be multi-functional but still ooze with comfort. Forever fashionable golden hues from our new collection such as Clever Velvet, Quince and Cotton Velvet, Ochre will inspire for years to come.
“There are hints of nostalgic 1970s in our edit,” shares Laura Barnard, Buying and Merchandising Manager for Arlo & Jacob. “We love the idea of our homes feeling like a private club, and the golden hues of the 70s era capture that.”
Bask your home in golden, retro hues
For those wanting to create a private club feeling, why not try a dark blue paint such as Kigali from Paint, Paper Library. A favourite shade of interior designer Lucy Gough, its the ideal deep blue to contrast with your favourite golden velvets.
Balancing our retro hues are the earthier, natural tones as Linen Blend, Cream and Natural Herringbone, Putty, plus Sustainable Plain, Marfil. "We didn't want to go too glamorous, rather, the linens and natural shades make the collection grounded," adds Laura.
Our Cartwright sofa (featured above) showcases how a golden A/W 2020/21 palette adds impact to a classic setting. "The yellow tones are unashamedly warm," says Laura. "Further, these fabrics are translational, which makes them a smart investment if you are craving a pop of happy colour but like to avoid trends."
