Peach Fuzz: Pantone’s Colour of the Year

The word is out on Pantone’s 2024 Colour of the Year! They’ve chosen Peach Fuzz as an emblem for a year in which, after so long spent in isolation, we finally came together again. There’s a very tactile quality to Peach Fuzz, evoking the feeling of stepping out of hibernation and towards loved ones, experiencing those face-to-face, skin-to-skin interactions we’d been missing. The hue has also got a very natural, human quality to it. It’s familiar and grounding while light and gentle. It offers a moment of respite while emitting a soft and soothing tone. Even the name itself is warm and welcoming!

Peach Fuzz has a velvety pinkish-orange quality to it, taking on a nurturing character. That, in tandem with its innate beauty as a colour, makes it a fabulous choice for an interior. We find it works wonderfully as a wall colour, giving off a sense of warmth and quiet energy. It looks great in a monochrome palette, so adding some matching furniture to the mix really ups the ante.
