Handy hints on fabric composition
The composition of the fabric you choose will determine how robust it is or how luxurious it feels. Here's the difference between man-made and natural fibres to help you pick a fabric suitable for your home.
Man-made fibres
Polyester doesn't sound particularly sexy but man-made fibres tend to be the most robust there are! A high polyester content means it's durable and works well for families or even just clumsy adults! We even have recycled Polyester fabrics! Other man-made fibres that may feature in some fabrics are Moda Acrylic, Polyamide, Polyacrylonitrile, Nylon and Polypropylene.
Natural Fibres
Some of our fabrics are 100% natural, usually being made of Linen, Cotton or Wool. Viscose is also a naturally derived fibre, from bamboo or flax seed. The hand feel tends to be particularly soft in natural products and many are kind to the environment, but these fibres are not particularly practical for the rigours of family life.
