Methodology
To establish the UK’s ultimate tranquil destinations we collated a seedlist of the most popular tranquil destinations mentioned in over 70 articles and blog posts. We then analysed these villages and towns by a series of metrics which include: population figures, number of miles from the nearest major city, number of rentable cottages and number of mentions in a collection of articles. A total of 33 destinations were analysed, with the top 20 featured in this campaign.
