Typically pink is thought of to be perfect for your little girl’s bedroom, but a gorgeous trend for this summer is to incorporate pink into your living space. We’re massive fans of this trend here at Arlo & Jacob, so we wanted to share our top tips for making this delicate yet daring trend work for you home.
If you’re a fan of the bright and the beautiful than this design idea will be perfect for you. Colour blocking made a comeback on the SS16 catwalks, and is making its way into the interiors world. A pale, pastel pink works perfectly with teals, light greens and navy, should you want a slightly darker colour. You don’t have to paint your walls various colours, a pale pink wall and a navy sofa is our favourite way to get the most out of this trend.
Greys & Metallics
Pastel pink is a dream come true when paired with metals and greys, it will give your living room a more modern feel to it, whist still feeling like home. You can choose either the pale pink or grey to be the colour of your wall(s), then use copper to accessories the room. Copper lamps and vases are great for this look.
Accents of Pink
Pink can be added to your room in much more subtle ways, fill your home with beautiful pink peonies or sweet peas to brighten up the room without pink being the centre of attention. Scatter cushions are a great way to add colour to your living room, start off with a neutral fabric for your sofa, then play around with colour using your scatter cushions. Our scatter cushion in Peony works great for this trend, despite being a more fuchsia pink, and our cushion in Jenson Stripe – Cardinal is a way of incorporating this trend as well as mixing in some pattern.
