How to measure for your new sofa
There’s nothing worse than falling in love with a piece of furniture, only to get it home and find it doesn’t fit through the door. By following our easy to use size guide, we can help you measure your space so that your new Arlo & Jacob furniture should fit comfortably into your room of choice.
Step 1 - Measure the Furniture
You’ll find all these measurements on our website, on the backs of our product cards and in our brochure.
Step 2 - Measure the Doorways & Entrances
Now we need to measure all the entrances that lead to your room of choice. The easiest route may be through a front window (if it’s large enough). Remember you may have to get the furniture through the front door, around any awkward corners, and perhaps even up or down stairs or into a lift.
Open up the doors as wide as you can and note down the narrowest points of all the entryways that our delivery drivers will have to go through to get your sofa into your chosen room.
Take into consideration any obstructions such as radiators, skirting boards and light fittings and adjust your measurements accordingly.
Much of our furniture has removable legs, which can make manoeuvring it into position a little easier. Check the dimensions section on the website, or call our showroom team to find out if this is an option on 0207 610 6068.
