“The hallway is the first place you see when you enter someone’s home and it can really set the tone which is why it’s my favourite area of the house, then it’s the living room and any living room with an Orlando chair or Cartwright sofa in it gets my vote. The Georgian period is my favourite, with a little bit of contemporary thrown in, it’s simple but decorative, throw in some Italian velvets and you’re good to go. “
“My favourite room in a house is the living room, like every woman out there I love curling up on the sofa (preferably the Wallis) and watching my favourite movie. I like designs that consider both form and function. Charles & Bernice Alexandra ‘Ray’ Eames were and still are absolute leaders in the field. What they designed years ago was so ahead of its time and still looks fresh today.”
“I love sitting at a desk and having my own place to think, so wherever I move to has to have a study and it would be very scandi-chic with some sexy minimalism. Although, like everyone else I love watching TV and snuggling up with my boyfriend on the sofa for a bit of relaxation after a day’s work, would be even better if we had a Darcy at home!”
“I’m a fan of sleek, minimalistic designs, and it’s Philipee Starck that comes to mind when I think of those things so it’s funny that my favourite piece is the Darcy. The majority of people would say the living room is their favourite place in the house, but mines the bedroom, of course. You can’t go wrong with snuggling up in bed and watching a movie with your partner.”
