Scandi Linen is the latest on the scene, with a vast array of colours available - so you’re sure to find just the shade to make your space sing.
We love Scandi Linen not just for its look and feel, but for its environmental cred, too! It’s a 100% natural textile made from flax grown in the the fields of northern France and Belgium. It’s an area with a long tradition of linen production and the centre of 80% of the world’s flax farming. The plant itself is easy on the environment, requiring no irrigation at all. Instead it relies on the earth’s natural rhythm of rainfall and sunshine. Along the way it contributes to healthy soil, creating a biodiverse habitat for insects.
From the field, the flax is sent to the studios of 5th-generation Masters of Linen, who spin it into luxurious linen yarn before weaving it into swathes of softness. At this point, it’s ready to be dyed and tumbled to create a relaxed look and an irresistible texture. This bit happens under the stewardship of the Ferre family in Spain. They’ve got a pretty impressive history of driving sustainable practices in the textile industry. They’ve been recycling cotton since as far back as 1947! What’s more, they even use solar panels to help power the operation, making Scandi Linen a fabric that you can not only enjoy, but feel good about, too.
Scandi Linen sets just the right tone in almost any interior. Keep it neutral with a classic Cream colour, creating a bright and fresh effect.
