Have you guessed it yet? If not, scroll down for the answers.

Looking back over the most highly requested films to inspire a living room design, we found that three out of five started life as books and were later adapted into films. We also found that four out of five of the films were part of a saga, adding credit to the idea that we love stories that span multiple films as this allows us longer to fall in love with the characters and the fictional worlds.

The only film in the top 5 that isn’t part of a franchise or saga is actually based on real events and a story that everyone knows at that. Which made us wonder, did this film make the cut because, while it was a stand-alone film, we still felt we had known the story and history for many years? Being such a well known and emotive story, perhaps we felt like it was one that had been told over many years and from many different perspectives, giving it the depth and longevity of a saga?

Whether or not that is the case, one thing is clear - truly great films get us hooked on their fictional world and inspire us to recreate the magic we felt the first, second or 10th time we watched it! Whether that’s by creating a movie inspired living room, collecting merch or simply revisiting the film from time to time.
