Chairs & Accent
Chairs
Here at Arlo & Jacob, we need no occasion to love an occasional chair. We think they’re perfect for every single day. An occasional, or accent chair is usually a standout, standalone piece that sits in bedrooms, hallways, or any corner of your home that is a natural resting spot. They can sometimes come in pairs, and they are usually slightly smaller than regular sized armchairs. We have some stunning occasional chairs, so here we give you a closer look at their standout design features.
An occasional chair is ideal for creating a reading nook or for dressing up an otherwise unused corner of your home. We think they look extra special in bold, bright fabrics, especially patterned fabrics, and thanks to their springs and padding, they’re just as comfortable as a regular sized armchair.

Vesper
Pretty and petite, Vesper is the ultimate occasional chair. Named after Vesper Lynd the character from the James Bond novel Casino Royale (and later the infamous shaken-not-stirred cocktail), this is a beautiful cocktail chair if ever we saw one. The fluted back is its crowning glory. Vesper looks truly spectacular in any of our luxurious velvets. We think Vesper would look rather wonderful sat next to your cocktail cabinet.

Alice
Alice is a contemporary take on a classic chair design and is the ideal occasional chair for dressing tables, dressing rooms, and bedrooms. It’s dainty and small enough to fit into most spaces, but with its coiled springs, it’s a seriously comfortable spot to get cosy for a while. We’d recommend an Alice in every room!

Grantley
Grantley is one of our original accent chairs, and we think it is the ideal bedroom chair, especially since its design was based on a slipper. The rounded, buttoned back is a lovely design element that deserves to be shown off. Grantley is a fairly low-level seat, so is perhaps best for areas where you can stretch out your legs.

Rose
Another one of our cocktail chairs, Rose is a more traditional style, petite, occasional chair, that again would be ideally suited to bedrooms and hallways or landings. It has a far more rounded design in comparison to Vesper and Alice, and has traditional castored feet as opposed to pure wood legs. We think it’s the ideal choice for a dressing room chair.
