There's a New Tone in Town...
Sweeping the worlds of interiors and fashion! It’s a rich chocolate brown that grounds the soul and adds depth to any design scheme. We first caught the bug this past autumn, working it into our shoots and introducing it to moodboards as we help customers visualise their new and improved spaces. We were pleased to see our enthusiasm echoed back, as Pantone recently announced Mocha Mousse as Colour of the Year 2025! So, let’s have a look at how you can make the most of this sumptuously stylish colour…
Because moodboarding is our love language, we’ve worked up a mixture of chocolatey hues in diverse shades, patterns, and textures. Starting with upholstery, we’ve pulled a few outstanding fabrics that evoke the trend. Arlo exclusive fabric, Mariola Stripe anchors the scene in our New shade, toasty Butterscotch, available specially in our showrooms. Owner and Style Director Julie Smith also developed a slightly smokier Ganache colourway, which works wonderfully if you’re hoping to keep the look more muted.
For a dash of designer, check out Blenets Check Mini in Chocolate by Henry Holland for Harlequin which can be seen in store. It’s a gorgeous new wave chequerboard textile that brings both heritage and buoyancy to an interior. It looks especially striking on our Felix armchair, if we may say so, ourselves. For a pop of pattern, Rapture & Wright’s Albaicin fabric in Cinnamon is a true showstopper. It brings a browned butter effect that radiates warmth and a dash of energy, thanks to its punchy, modern print. Use it in doses, as we have on our Drum stools, and watch as it revamps your seating space. If you’re looking to pick up on some spiced, terracotta tones, it’s well worth checking out Linwood’s Bibi fabric in Ginger Biscuit. It’s a great choice for feature pieces like our Archie footstool, tying in beautifully with this deliciously deep colour palette.

Now, for some bold brushes! To truly tie the look together and create an immersive sense of atmosphere, consider a wall paint that cloaks your space in chocolatey warmth. Little Green makes a gorgeous Ganache colour that lends itself perfectly to this brown colour trend. For a lighter touch, their Scullery colour is a wonderful choice. Our friends over at Coat have also created a beautifully creamy Old Street paint colour, of which we’ve made ample use across our shops. It showcases our furniture fabulously and instantly instills a welcoming ambiance that sets a soothing mood.
