Our collaboration with House Nine was born from a shared commitment to quality, comfort, and timeless design. Having worked together for many years, it felt only natural to create the very first House Nine Sofa. We set out to bring to life a sofa that embodies the values we hold in common: thoughtful detail, lasting craftsmanship, and an effortless sense of style. The result is a sofa that unites House Nine’s eye for understated elegance with Arlo & Jacob’s expertise in British craftsmanship. Each one is meticulously made to order in our Nottinghamshire workshop by skilled craftspeople, designed to last a lifetime.
The Design
The House Nine Sofa is all about the skirt. Inspired by Belgian design, it carries an effortless, graceful silhouette that feels both classic and contemporary; the skirt bringing a soft, layered feel to any space. We wanted it to have the relaxed feel of a loose cover, with the benefit of structure and longevity. Timeless and classic, but also versatile, approachable, and easy to live with. The kind of sofa that doesn’t shout for attention but quietly makes everything around it feel more beautiful.
The Detail
Generosity was key. At 2.6m, the three-seater design features two deep, inviting seat cushions and soft, plumpable back cushions you’ll want to curl into. It’s family friendly, functional, and incredibly comfortable; built for everyday living, not just for looking pretty. Hand made in the UK, each sofa is built with an FSC-certified hardwood frame ensuring it will stand the test of time. Whether dressed with scatter cushions or left to speak for itself, The House Nine Sofa feels just as suited to an informal family room as it does a more traditional setting. A sofa that’s as happy being lounged on as it is being admired.

Each of our products starts its life in the heartland of sofa making: the East Midlands. We’re about making furniture that lasts - in terms of quality, comfort and style. In fact, we have so much confidence in its craftsmanship that we guarantee our hardwood frames for life!
Delivered with TLC
You can rest assured you’re in the very best of hands with our TLC Delivery Team. They’re our in-house delivery and installation experts, specialising purely in Arlo furniture. They’ll take time to give you the full white glove service, completing any assembly required with care and courtesy.
Delivery
Every sofa is made to order so we estimate it'll be a maximum of four to six weeks before it's ready to ship.
Our delivery team's been delivering furniture for more than thirty years and provide a six day, white-glove, nationwide delivery service between Monday - Saturday.
Sofa delivery for Mainland UK starts from £149 (Chairs are £79).

Some of our sofas will arrive without their legs (it makes fitting them through doors and around corners much easier) but our delivery team will affix them for you. If the space is really tight, some of our sofas have removable arms, but don't worry, they'll be re-attached too so your sofa will be ready for sitting, lounging, slouching and sleeping straight away.
