Home Décor Ideas: Wall & Floor coverings at Decorex 2017

Decorex International is the design event of the year as it kicks off the London Design Festival. In this, its 40th year, the show didn’t fail to impress with its vast array of established and emerging interior designers and brands bringing their stylish offerings to an eager audience of professionals and interior lovers alike. As we mooched around the show, it wasn’t hard for our eyes to get distracted by all the lovely things on offer, so we thought we’d share a few of them here with you, to inspire your own homes.

Vandra Rugs

handwoven rugs

We were very impressed by the colours and patterns on show from Vandra Rugs. The Swedish company combines their traditional handcraft expertise with modern design to deliver a stunning range of handwoven rugs. The rug offerings come in a range of sizes, shapes and just oh so many pretty colours that we can’t help but lust over one of each. We think these scandi rugs would look fabulous underneath our Elton and Aragon style sofas.

Charlotte Jade

patterned wallpaper

It was impossible not to stop and stare at Charlotte Jade’s stand since it was covered from floor to ceiling in the most vivid and bright pink wallpaper adorned with bunches of yellow bananas. The wacky patterns on offer are hand drawn by sister partnership Charlotte and Kate O’Reilly. Their selection of patterned wallpapers and fabrics would certainly inject some fun and colour into your interiors, and there’s nothing wrong with that! We think the Wild Garden and Hybrid Flora designs are ones to watch.

Jennifer Manners

Jennifer Manners specialises in handmade rugs. Each one tells a design story and is brought to life by artisans in India and Nepal who have perfected their craft over many generations. On display at her stand was her Stone Collection; a beautiful selection of rugs based on the natural patterns and reflections found in natural stones like morganite, agate and quartz.

Weaver Green

recycled fabric rugs

Innovative company Weaver Green caught our eye for their beautiful, soft, handwoven rugs, spun entirely from yarn made from recycled plastic bottles. They are water resistant, easy to clean, hardwearing and did we mention seriously stylish. We love their mix of pastel colours and geometric patterns.
