Home Décor Ideas: Incorporating spring florals into your home
With intermittent sunshine in and amongst the April showers, it's clear that Spring is just around the corner, and to prepare you for the change in season, we thought we’d compile a few expert ways to incorporate some spring florals into your home décor.
Embrace a patterned fabric
The patterned floral fabric isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, but there are plenty of ways you can use small amounts of patterned fabric to deliver a big impact. Alternatively, if you’re a pattern fiend and always fall for floral prints, then we have two pretty fabulous florals to take your fancy – both of which would look amazing covering a whole piece or as cushions for smaller hints of the floral trend.
Discover our two favourite floral fabrics: Chintz and Bloom Velvet and offers the ultimate injection of spring greens into your interiors. Bloom Velvet is a moodier, darker palette of colours on a black velvet base. This striking floral pattern was designed by our in-house fabric designer Lydia Francesca.
If you find a fully upholstered floral piece is too much for your taste, how about some floral scatter cushions or perhaps a floral pattern footstool to bring a little pattern into your interiors? Our scatter cushions are handmade and delivered in just two weeks, so you can order them now and be ready for when spring (eventually) decides to arrive.
Statement wallpaper murals
Miniature florals on wallpaper can quite often look dated, but recently we’ve seen a rise in large patterned floral wallpaper. The bold floral pattern looks more like a mural than a fussy wallpaper, and the darker colours create a sense of drama, perfect for avoiding the “frilly” look that is quite often associated with florals.
Posters and prints
Love the idea of introducing some florals for spring into your home, but can’t bear the thought of redecorating with wallpaper? Floral pictures and paintings will do the trick without any of the fuss. Explore Pinterest and Etsy for posters and prints to decorate your walls. Choose complementary colours from your scheme, or opt for a bold clashing colour to draw attention to the artwork.
Designer fabric
Did you know that we can also upholster our pieces in a designer fabric that you’ve fallen in love with? Pop into our showroom to browse our designer lookbooks, packed with beautiful fabric samples, and plenty of floral patterns too.
