Home Décor Ideas: A closer look at ‘Brushed Cotton Linen Mix’ - New Colours Launched
This season, the overarching home décor trend is unequivocally all about natural fibres and textures. There are plenty of natural fibre fabrics you can choose from, like linen, wool, cotton and leather. While natural fabrics feel and look beautiful, they can often be delicate and prone to natural wear over time. However, our Brushed Cotton Linen Mix delivers the perfect blend of two natural fibres, resulting in a soft and strong fabric that is durable and perfect for a family home.
Available in thirteen colours, from pale grey to deep plum, including two vibrant new shades for spring/summer ‘Vermilion’ and ‘Linden’; we’re taking a closer look at our ‘Brushed Cotton Linen Mix’ fabric and some of the properties that make it such an excellent choice for your furniture.
This versatile, baby soft cotton-linen mix is one of our bestselling upholstery fabrics. Unlike pure linen, which has a tendency to stretch and sag over time as the natural fibres stretch, Brushed Cotton Linen Mix is strengthened by the blend of cotton and linen fibres, resulting in a stronger weave that is less prone to stretching. This composition of the fabric is 72% Cotton and 28% Linen. It is easy to clean, (although professional upholstery cleaning is always recommended) and it has a beautiful, brushed surface that is seriously soft to the touch with a little texture for visual interest.
Natural fibres are also ideal for the warmer weather since they are light and airy and allow the space to breathe.
