Get the Look: Pantone Colour of the Year, Living Coral – Sympatico palette
Having just been announced by Pantone as 2019’s hottest hue, Living Coral is predicted to be an interior hit for the year to come. Pantone has carefully curated five palettes to accompany this bright, welcoming and joyful shade. In this Get the Look, we focus on the ‘Sympatico’ palette which pays homage to skin tones around the world. Described by Pantone; ‘Sympatico is comprised of a beautiful array of colours that humanise; fusing together a panoply of international skin tones with those soft and warm colours we layer on to create that healthy glow.’
For the basis of the theme, we’ve chosen Farrow & Ball’s Cinder Rose, paired with Oxford Stone which proves to be an excellent match for Pantone’s Rose Dawn and Mellow Buff, two of the colours within the Sympatico palette. We’ve chosen our stunning Linen Blend, Clay Pink to upholster our stylish and elegant Matilda sofa, with adorning Oxford scatter cushions in Cotton Velvet, Carmine – which brings a deeper shade to the palette, and Vintage Velvet, Tea Rose. The pop of colour is provided by the geometric rug which has a strong hit of Living Coral and the abstract vases. Playing on the theme, we’ve chosen coral artwork in deep red shades to adorn the walls and managed to find a gorgeous lamp to tie the whole look together.
