World Gin Day is upon us, giving us a legitimate excuse (not that we need one) to mix up a cocktail or two this weekend. To celebrate World Gin Day our friends at Four Pillars have shared some of their favourite gin recipes. If you’re partial to the odd G&T, we’re sure you’ll love their take on these classic recipes!
Whether you like it shaken or stirred, let’s raise a glass to World Gin Day this weekend.
Four Pillars Negroni
The Negroni is a tribute to the original definition of a cocktail: spirit, sweet, sour and bitter, the ultimate balance of flavours to stimulate your senses.

45ml Four Pillars Rare Dry Gin
45ml Campari
45ml Red Cocchi Vermouth De Torino
Orange Segment
Method
* Layer ingredients over ice in a short glass

Tom Collins
The most famous of the cocktail Collinses, this long drink dates back to the 19th century and is probably named after the Old Tom gin originally used to make it.
Ingredients
60ml Four Pillars Rare Dry Gin
30ml lemon juice
15ml sugar syrup
Soda water
Method
* Combine the first three ingredients in a highball glass over ice
* Stir well then top with soda water
* Garnish with a slice of lemon
The G&T
The simplest of all gin-based drinks, the G&T nevertheless has a colourful past. Born out of a necessity to make anti-malarial quinine palatable, it quickly became evident that tonic water was the perfect companion for gin.
Ingredients
45ml Four Pillars Rare Dry Gin
60ml tonic water
Ruby Red Grapefruit (or orange, or tangelo...)
Method
* Add ice and gin to any glass you like
* Top with tonic water
* Garnish with citrus
The Martini
Wet or dry? Shaken or stirred? Has any drink ever been so simple and yet inspired such loyal debate as the Martini?
Ingredients
60ml Four Pillars Rare Dry Gin
15ml dry vermouth
Orange peel
Method
* Combine ingredients in a tall vessel with ice, then stir gently
* Strain into a chilled Martini glass
* Garnish with a twist of orange
